Family Duplex on the Upper West Side
A couple with young children wanted a home in the city that was both family-friendly and a place for friends. A plan was created that included a large space for entertaining on one side of the apartment, with the more child-friendly spaces on the other. From the front door, both a formal foyer leads past the main stair to the living room, and an adjacent mudroom accesses a large playroom, the kitchen/dining room and a study.
Open to the living room but tucked around the corner is a well-appointed wine tasting room that may also be used for intimate dining.
