Contemporary Neoclassicism on the Upper East Side
This apartment serves as a place for living and entertaining for a couple and their grown children when in the city. The driving force for the design is an extensive and revolving modern art collection which can be showcased well in the large, high-ceilinged entry gallery as well as throughout the bright, spacious apartment.
Taking cues from the Art Deco lobby of this Rosario Candela building, the apartment interior features deco motifs such as cornices with guilloche, stepped moldings and inlaid bronze strips in the library’s dark turquoise paneling.
